Aquila Bioscience has developed technologies that utilise natural protein-carbohydrate molecules presented on solid surfaces and/or in liquid format, that have been demonstrated to prevent microbial and bioparticle transmission.

This technology is ideal for sample collection, entrapment and filtration of viruses, bacteria and fungal particles as well as allergens such as pollen and allergenic proteins.
Glycan-based polymers in a filter or noise-reduction membrane format developed by Aquila Bioscience can be utilised in smart microdevices that require minute amounts of samples and reagents.
Subsequently, these formats are cost-effective and robust and can be used to detect pathogens at the point of use or on-site with high specificity and sensitivity.
